Better-Prepared Patients. More Supported Recoveries.
PreHab Plus provides personalized, in-home surgical preparation and early virtual recovery support for orthopedic patients throughout Orlando and Central Florida.
We identify individual needs, prepare patients in their own environment, and support a confident transition into established postoperative rehabilitation.
Designed to complement—not replace—your existing surgical protocols and rehabilitation pathway.
The Surgical Decision Is Made. But Is the Patient Truly Ready?
Once a patient and surgeon decide to proceed with surgery, attention naturally turns toward scheduling, medical clearance, testing, and standard preoperative instructions.
Yet patients enter the surgical pathway with very different levels of physical readiness, confidence, home support, health literacy, equipment preparation, and expectations.
Some patients are anxious, deconditioned, poorly supported, or uncertain about what recovery will require. Others are highly motivated and likely to do too much too soon.
A standardized pathway may not always identify these individual needs and tendencies before they begin affecting the patient’s early recovery experience.
PreHab Plus adds a personalized layer of preparation, education, and early support during this important transition.
A Personalized Bridge Across the Surgical Journey
PreHab Plus adds individualized preparation and support to the pathway already established by the surgeon and clinical team.

Not Every Patient Needs the Same Preparation
Surgical readiness is not determined by age, diagnosis, or physical condition alone. Patients may benefit from additional preparation for very different reasons.
Patients Who May Need Additional Support
Deconditioned or physically limited patients
Patients experiencing anxiety or low confidence
Patients with limited assistance at home
Patients uncertain about equipment or home preparation
Patients who have difficulty applying standard instructions
Patients with previous challenging surgical experiences
Patients Who May Need Clearer Boundaries
Highly motivated “overachievers”
Patients likely to progress activity too aggressively
Active adults with unrealistic early-recovery expectations
Patients inclined to add exercises or modify instructions independently
Patients who believe doing more will always produce a faster recovery
The right preparation is not necessarily more preparation. It is preparation matched to the individual patient.
Personalized Preparation
Where Recovery Begins
Surgical readiness becomes practical when patients can apply education and guidance in the environment where their recovery will begin.
Before Surgery
PreHab Plus helps patients prepare through:
An in-home physical therapy assessment
A personalized readiness and exercise plan
Home environment and safety review
Equipment recommendations, fitting, and training
Education tailored to the planned procedure
Identification of individual concerns, behaviors, and support needs
During Early Recovery
Support continues after the patient returns home through:
Scheduled virtual follow-up
Reinforcement of postoperative precautions and instructions
Activity and exercise coaching
Guidance on appropriate early progression
Help recognizing concerns that should be communicated to the surgical team
Support during the transition into established postoperative therapy
Built to Complement Your Existing Program
PreHab Plus works within the surgeon’s established instructions and rehabilitation pathway. Our role is to reinforce those instructions and help patients apply them in their actual home environment.
Identify individual readiness barriers before surgery
Reinforce procedure-specific education and expectations
Improve patient confidence and preparation
Address equipment and home-environment concerns before surgery
Reduce avoidable confusion during early recovery
Support the transition into established postoperative rehabilitation
Our objective is not to create a competing pathway.
It is to strengthen the pathway already established by the surgeon and clinical team.
A Simple Extension of the Patient Journey
PreHab Plus is an optional, independent private-pay service designed to integrate easily with the practice’s existing surgical pathway.
01
IDENTIFY & INTRODUCE
The surgeon or clinical team identifies a patient who may benefit from personalized preparation and introduces PreHab Plus as an additional support option.
02
CONNECT & PERSONALIZE
The patient contacts PreHab Plus directly or through the practice’s preferred referral process. We then identify the patient’s individual needs and readiness priorities.
03
SUPPORT & TRANSITION
We provide personalized preparation, early virtual support, and guidance through the transition into established postoperative rehabilitation.
PreHab Plus was founded on more than 30 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, sports medicine, total joint replacement, and surgical rehabilitation.
Our approach reflects experience across the patient journey—from preparation before surgery and safe same-day discharge through early recovery and the transition into established outpatient rehabilitation.
PreHab Plus was created to provide the individualized coaching, education, preparation, and early support that cannot always be delivered through a standardized surgical pathway.
